Morning Glory

Morning's wake is a violent buzz
a slap of the clock and scratchy chin fuzz
a groan and a moan to express the disdain
a stretch and a pop to lessen joint pain
a flush to hide whats misunderstood
calming the fervor of that morning's wood
a falling stream to clean the skin
a whining sibling that needs to get in
a wrap of the towel, a brush of the teeth
a rumbling growl that comes from beneath
a fastening of buttons and the zip of a fly
a trip down the stairs to check the supply
a bowl of cereal, a breakfast cliche
a trip out the door and a start of the day.

  1. Wow! I love this! :) Well done.

Your descriptions are wonderful, but there's very little feeling/emotion in your words. Granted, I was quite amused while reading this at the sheer brilliance of its simplicity, but I had to come up with some type of criticism. :)

I'm so happy X is back!!
